COMPASSION

Affirmation of life is the spiritual act by which man ceases to live thoughtlessly and begins to devote himself to his life
with reverence in order to give it true value.

Anna Netrebko sings "Solveig's Song" by Edvard Grieg

If I had to choose my favorite piece of music for the human voice, it would undoubtebly be Solveig's Song from Grieg's "Peer Gynt". It's in the deceptive simplicity of the piece where lies the beauty. But, strangely enough, of all the versions available there is not one which seems to be the ultimate version.

Solveigs Sang

Her skal jeg vente til du kommer igjen;
