Dementia currently affects 35
million people worldwide and the incidence is expected to double every
20 years. Estimates are as high as 135 million by 2050 as the older
population continues to grow.
However, many governments, communities,
businesses and families, as well as the health and long term care
sectors are unprepared for this epidemic.
This AARP Policy Forum
related to Brain Health, explores how we can create person and
family-centered delivery systems that improves the lives of those who
have dementia and the people caring for them
