A flamingo and chicks await being fitted with identity rings at a lagoon in the Fuente de Piedra natural reserve near Malaga, southern Spain, in August. Around 600 flamingo chicks were tagged and measured before being placed in the lagoon, one of the largest flamingo colonies in Europe.
